50 Years of Legacy
T&B Planning was founded in 1974 as “Turrini and Brink.” The founding partners were an engineer and an architect who believed that the best planning results come from a skilled combination of creativity and pragmatism. This philosophy remains today.

Mitigation by Design®
Long before terms like “sustainable” and “green” became popular, T&B Planning devised a context-sensitive approach to planning and development projects called Mitigation by Design®. Using this trademarked approach, we provide feedback on a project’s design that can transform a project’s environmental challenges into opportunities and project amenities. Mitigation by Design® often results in more environmentally-sensitive and context-appropriate design features, yielding fewer adverse environmental impacts and less mitigation. This approach also reduces time delays and mitigation costs resulting from the governmental permitting process. We also apply our Mitigation by Design® approach when preparing CEQA documents by preemptively strategizing with project applicants and lead agencies about how to accomplish environmental regulatory compliance through project design whenever practical.
