T&B Planning, Inc. support Climb for Heroes

T&B Project Planner Catherine Canfield recently took on the Climb for Heroes challenge in honor of John Magness. This event combined physical endurance with a deep sense of community and purpose. Since 2013, The Heroes Project has hosted this non-competitive, family-friendly day hike on Mt. Baldy, California. The hike welcomes participants of all fitness levels and ages, making it an inclusive event for everyone, including children and friendly dogs accompanied by their well-behaved adults. Whether done with friends, family, co-workers as a team-building event, or individually, Climb for Heroes promises a life-changing, sweat-inducing, veteran-supporting, and patriotic experience.

The essence of Climb for Heroes lies in its mission to support injured veterans, raising money and awareness for their mental and physical health. By participating, individuals like Catherine Canfield not only challenged themselves physically but also contributed to a cause that has a significant impact on the lives of veterans. The event is a testament to the power of community, as participants sweat for a cause, release endorphins, and mingle with like-minded individuals who share a passion for giving back. Mt. Baldy, standing at 10,064 feet, offered a less than six-mile hike up a scenic mountain trail. Along the way, injured veterans were strategically placed to provide inspiration and motivation to participants. These veterans embody the spirit of resilience and strength, serving as living reminders of the cause that drives the event. Hikers could choose to descend at any point, exchange coins for goodies, and enjoy the camaraderie and beautiful weather at Base Camp.

John Magness (July 24, 1964 – February 5, 2023), a US Army captain and USMA class of 1986, was the inspiration behind Catherine Canfield’s participation. His legacy will long remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community he served. Honoring him through Climb for Heroes added a profound personal dimension to the event, reinforcing the significance of supporting those who have dedicated their lives to service.

For T&B Planning, supporting Climb for Heroes aligns with their dedication to community initiatives that resonate deeply with their values. The company embraces these opportunities to strengthen its culture and demonstrate its commitment to making a positive difference. Catherine Canfield’s participation is a reflection of T&B Planning’s ethos, showcasing their belief in the importance of community involvement and support for worthy causes.

In honoring John Magness through her participation, Catherine Canfield exemplified the spirit of Climb for Heroes.
