T&B Planning was retained by the City of Brea to serve as the lead CEQA compliance consultant for the proposed redevelopment of a 0.95-acre property located at the prominent intersection of Imperial Highway and South Flower Street. The project attracted considerable public interest due to the site’s location being across the street from Laurel Elementary School. The project entailed the demolition of existing commercial and office buildings to construct a new 2,400 SF sit-down restaurant, 3,600 SF of retail and medical office uses, and a 2,000 SF drive-through restaurant.
T&B Planning prepared an Environmental Impact Report (EIR), ensured CEQA administrative procedure compliance, distributed CEQA notices, responded to public comments and concerns, and supported City staff during the Planning Commission and City Council hearings. The project was approved with unanimous City Council support.
