T&B Planning Inc. had the opportunity to participate in the recent 2024 California State Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP) Land to Sea: Cities of Tomorrow Conference. Principals Tracy Zinn and Nicole Morse showcased their extensive compliance expertise through an insightful panel session titled “Say What? How to Effectively Respond to Public Comments.” This session reviewed the legal requirements and best practices associated with navigating the CEQA compliance process, offering attendees invaluable insights on successfully navigating the twists and turns of professionally and effectively responding to all types of public comments.

The standing-room-only panel discussion was significant as it coincided with T&B Planning Inc.’s 50th anniversary in business, aligning perfectly with AEP’s 50th anniversary celebration. We were honored to commemorate this momentous occasion with our collaborators and friends at the California State AEP Conference. As a token of appreciation for their contributions, panel members received a special acknowledgment, symbolizing our shared commitment to excellence and collaboration.

Hosted by the AEP Orange County Chapter at the JW Marriott Anaheim from March 24-27, 2024, the conference offered attendees a rich and engaging experience. With informative sessions, a sponsor and exhibitor showcase, and numerous networking opportunities, participants had the chance to enjoy relevant topics ranging from adaptation and resiliency to case studies and best practices. The conference also featured sessions tailored to specific interests, including law and ethics, students/young professionals, and more, catering to diverse professional backgrounds.

Founded in 1974, the AEP is a non-profit association dedicated to upholding the principles underlying the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). By establishing and operating a professional association committed to improving environmental assessment, analysis, public disclosure, and reporting, the AEP plays a vital role in enhancing, maintaining, and protecting the quality of natural and human environments.
